One of the best ways for cities to earn money, including tax money, is to sell land to other players. The land sold is called "City Land" and is worth 50 fens per tile by the server's count. City owners can set the price for the land in their cities. At a value below 50 fens per tile, they are losing money when they sell the plot, at a value above 50 fens per tile they are earning a profit. Wild land when it becomes part of city, can be sold as city land, when it is sold the value is divided in half, half to the purchasing party, and half for the city owner. The purchasing party buys city tiles that provide them with the trading class rank.
